Vitra
Classic Panton
Verner Panton was one of the most influential figures in the development of design during the 60s and 70s. With his experimental approach to shapes and colors, the designer was captivated by the potential of plastic, a material that was new at the time. His aim was to create a comfortable one-piece chair that could be used in a variety of settings. After looking for a manufacturer for years, Panton came into contact with Vitra in 1963. Together they developed the Panton Chair, first introduced in 1967.
