Durante os anos 80, em Paris, estava muito na moda levar o aperitivo no Le Cirque Dansant, um lugar localizado no Rive Gauche, perto de St. Germain, normalmente frequentado pelo jet set parisiense e agora fechado desde há muito tempo.

Nos arquivos históricos da IVV parece que, no desenho do seu gerente de bar, em '81 Le Cirque Dansant encomendou a realização de dois copos, um concebido para servir Champagne e diferentes tipos de cocktails e outro para servir especialmente o Cocktail Martini.

Ambos são caracterizados pela forma particular da boca: o primeiro reaberto, que permite realçar os aromas da bebida, enquanto o segundo, em forma de apito, que dá ao copo inteiro uma silhueta elegante e esguia.

Ambos são feitos inteiramente à mão, uma característica que os torna verdadeiramente fora dos objectos comuns.

É em honra que a IVV os apresenta , contando a verdadeira história que determinou o seu nascimento.
