Cassina
Capitol Complex Office Chair
This chair is one of the most recognizable in the Chandigarh Capitol Complex found by the Secretariat offices. The independent parts, including the inverted "v" side supports that carry the arms, are all made of solid wood. The interlaced back and the seat, stretched over the wooden structure, are common elements in the area, as is the use of woods such as teak.
Similar to the most well-known office chair, this chair in the armless variant also uses the "v" as a lateral support, in this case smaller, since it does not extend to the arms. Importance is given to the seat / back sequence in Vietnamese woven cane, linked by an immense geometric section supported by two wooden profiles, and co-planar legs that, together, are simple and yet powerful at the same time.
Cassina's re-launch offers the teak version and two versions in natural and black-stained oak.
