Part of the Smithfield family, the dimmable Smithfield ceiling mounted light manages to be both grand and unassuming in both halogen and LED versions. Providing direct light through its aluminum body, it is well suited for a variety of environments.
Inspiration behind the design: English designer Jasper Morrison is known for his ability to take the beauty he sees in the world around him and translate it into his work. For this purpose, the artist was inspired by industrial nature. "I've always liked the industrial and functional character of these lights," he said. "I wanted to make them a project, looking for some way to make use of their efficiency in delivering light, and the forms themselves, which are so much part of the good atmosphere of industrial spaces".
