Imagine a spectacular spectacle blooming above you, the Skygarden light family is just that. Created by Marcel Wanders, Skygarden Recessed offers a hemispherical diffuser, in cast plaster, painted white on the inside and with a steel frieze.

The plaster diffuser support is made of die-cast aluminum alloy. The diffuser is made of blown and scintillated opal glass.

Inspiration behind the design: A house where Marcel Wanders lived featured an ornate antique plaster ceiling that he dubbed "Skygarden", inspired this artistic piece. Wanting to take this "rooftop garden" with him when he moved in, Wanders created the Skygarden family so he could do just that - and then share it with the world.

The beginning of the Flos brand (which means "flower" in Latin) came from a brilliant idea: to create objects, starting with a lamp, that would change the way of life in the Italian market and abroad.
